Francis S. Gabreski Airport (FOK)

Gabreski Airport was built in 1943, originally serving as an Air Force base during World War II. After the war, the airport was given to Suffolk County. The airport was renamed in 1991 in honor of Col. Francis S. Gabreski, a former commander and World War II air ace.
Currently, Suffolk County's Francis S. Gabreski Airport serves as a general aviation facility, which enjoys a 9,000 foot runway - among New York's longest after JFK International. The Airport is utilized by corporate businesses, private aviation and air taxi services. Malloy Air East provides aviation services to the airport patrons.
